Office Policies

Our commitment is to provide our patients with the highest quality professional medical services and to constantly improve patient care, quality of medical staff and operational efficiency.

Telephone Calls

Most of the telephone calls to the office will be handled by the clinical staff. During office hours, clinical staff tries to give their undivided attention to the patients in the office. When you call the office, these individuals will likely not be able to talk with you immediately. Please expect to leave a message and your call will be returned when he or she is finished with the patients in the office. At that time, you will also receive his or her undivided attention to attend to your needs and/or request.

Prescription Refills

Please call 228-215-0436 and follow the instructions if you need a prescription refilled. Prescriptions may also be filled by request through My Chart. However, some refills may require the patient to be seen before renewal or refills may be provided.

No Call / No Show Policy

There will be a $25.00 No Call/No Show fee if a scheduled appointment is not cancelled 24 hours before a scheduled appointment time and/or if a patient does not show for a scheduled appointment. This fee will be charged to the patient’s account and due at the time of next appointment. This will be the financial responsibility the patient and not that of the insurance carrier.

New Patient Appointments

Ocean Springs Lung Clinic does require a one-time $100.00 New Patient deposit by cash or credit card.

  • Cash deposits must be brought to our office before an appointment can be scheduled.  A receipt will be issued to the patient. If the receipt is brought in at the time of the New Patient appointment, the cash deposit will be returned. However, if the patient is a No Call/No Show for the scheduled New Patient appointment, the cash will be non-refundable.
  • Credit Card deposits can be taken over the telephone. These will only be charged if the patient is a No Call/No Show for the scheduled New Patient appointment. 

Late Arrival Policy

One of the keys to reducing wait time is recognizing when a late patient must be rescheduled. We want to treat every patient fairly, and no one should have to wait extra time because the patient before them was late. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule. While we will do all that is possible to accommodate requests, the first-available appointment may or may not be on the day the appointment was missed. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to call us to cancel if you are unable to show up at your scheduled time.

Please call ahead if you realize you are going to be late to your appointment. We will do all that we can to accommodate your appointment and to minimize the need to reschedule your appointment.

Please call ahead if you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, otherwise a $25 No Show fee may be charged.

Test Results

ALL test results will be provided at the patient’s next Follow-Up appointment. Test results are not provided over the telephone.
